The current game uses first party HTTP-only session cookies to keep a pseudonymous profile available between visits. The existing profile service may set a voter or profile session cookie. These are used for authentication and vote integrity, not behavioral advertising. A recovery token is shown to you once and should be saved privately. The game interface does not currently use localStorage or sessionStorage for tracking.
Third party services
Cloudflare may use necessary security or network cookies according to the protection configuration deployed for the site. Opening Stripe Checkout moves you to Stripe, where Stripe may set cookies for payment and fraud prevention under its own policy. Google Fonts is loaded from Google servers in the current stylesheet and may receive your IP address and browser request; it does not set a site cookie through our code. We do not currently run advertising pixels or optional analytics scripts. If optional technology is added later, we will assess consent requirements and provide a real choice before activating it.
Your controls
You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but blocking the necessary profile cookie may prevent voting, purchasing, or restoring an active session. You can use the recovery flow if you saved the recovery token. There is presently no optional site tracking preference to withdraw because no optional site tracker is enabled.
